Cody + Taylor Engagement | Private Estate, Finleyville, PA

Not too often, but sometimes, we have couples that REALLY hope for a snowy engagement session. Even more rarely, does their scheduled engagement session actually happen on a snowy day. Well, we struck gold when this snowstorm happened on the morning of Cody and Taylor’s engagement session! In our almost 4 years, we finally shot our first snowy engagement session, and with the best of couples!

We met Taylor a little over a year ago, at a church-lead, young adult retreat. Evan and I had such an easy time getting to know (and freaking love) Taylor! With her contagious smile and willingness to laugh at all of our bad jokes, how could we not?!

A few months later (right after they got engaged!) we were lucky enough to meet her fiancé Cody at another church event. What an amazing couple they are! We feel so incredibly blessed to be able to capture their wedding in a few weeks! But this past weekend, we were lucky enough to spend our Sunday morning with them for their winter engagement shoot!

I know we are going to be getting a lot of questions about this location, but it was actually the backyard of Cody's Aunt's house! We love when couples choose new locations for engagement shoots, and this one was BEAUTIFUL! Thankfully, Cody's family let us use their house for a quick outfit change, and a few indoor photos.

Shooting inside, also gave us the chance to defrost a bit! Plus, with Cody and Taylor's Valentine's Day weekend wedding, we just had to take pics with the V-Day decorations!

Look at those eyes!! Taylor and Cody both have amazing, bright eyes! They catch light so beautifully!

Taylor inspired me to invest in alpaca socks after this session!

Then, we headed back outside to finish out session!

Taylor and Cody, we cannot explain to you how much fun we had at your engagement session. The time flew! You two really bring out the best in each other! The smiles you put on each other's faces are so joyful, and we cannot wait to see those big smiles on your wedding day.
