Caleb + Maddie Wedding | Shadow Creek, Purcellville, VA

Caleb and Maddie's wedding celebration took place at the beautiful Shadow Creek Wedding and Events in Loudoun County, Virginia.

Shadow Creek Wedding Blue and Green

Maddie and Caleb's wedding celebration featured colors of sage green and navy blue, accented with white florals and greenery. On a windy November afternoon, these two celebrated their union on Shadow Creek's outdoor patio, surrounded by their loved ones. This celebration was technically a vow renewal since (you might remember) they had their March 2021 Wedding Ceremony in Pittsburgh, PA. We got to spend two days with these two, and I would spend so many more with them and their crew!

If I had to use one word for Maddie and Caleb and their wedding day it would be "love". As Father Matthew put it, these two pour so much into the people and things they love. They have lived their lives loving God, their families, their friends, and each other. It's something so special about the two of them, and something I noticed after first meeting them in college.

Now, let's talk a little about their wedding day! Before heading over to Shadow Creek, Maddie and Caleb got ready at Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, Virginia. There, the girls got hair and makeup done while the guys enjoyed the Penn State vs. Michigan football game.

Girls get robe pics on the bed, and guys get goldfish pictures on the balcony! Catherine and Evan had a great time with these guys!

Once we got to Shadow Creek, Maddie was helped into her dress by her mother and Maid of Honor, Lindsay. We LOVED Shadow Creek's bridal room!

Maddie is a beautiful bride inside and out! I truly believe that it's impossible for her to take a bad picture.

After a first look with her girls, we were off to her first look with Caleb!

These two are ADORABLE. I was so happy they had video coverage at their wedding. These pictures are so telling, but wait until you hear the joy and love in their voices during moments like the first look.

In the unpredictable November weather, these two and their wedding party toughed out the crazy winds blowing during this part of the day! Eventually, we headed into Shadow Creek's front portico to finish up portraits In a warmer space!

STUNNERS! This bridal party could be in a magazine!

Thankfully, the sun began peeking through the clouds and the winds calmed down right in time for the ceremony!

Their ceremony was held right outside of the barn, and was decorated in a beautiful archway of flowers. These archway florals were later used as a part of their reception floral design!

Maddie and Caleb's ceremony was officiated by everyone's favorite PSU Priest, Father Matthew Laffey! Their friendship with Fr. Matt in addition to their written vows made for a personal and meaningful ceremony.

After renewing their vows in front of their loved ones, we were off to a quick sunset session!

MR + MRS MYERS!

The elegant reception hall was decorated in floral arrangements and lights that hung from the ceiling. Tables were covered in white linens and decorated with dusty blue and white arrangements and candles.

As the sun set over Shadow Creek, the reception kicked off, and these two got celebration that they deserved.

A good husband drinks the Smirnoff Ice with you, but a great husband drinks it for you!

After toasts, Maddie and Caleb had a celebrity appearance that would make any Penn Stater jealous! Maddie's older brother was the Nittany Lion during his time at Penn State!

Dance floor time!!

There were so many things I could say about the beauty and joy of this wedding day, but I'll save my ranting for the people involved, because WE LOVE THEM. As you will hear in these videos below, Maddie and Caleb share such a strong bond, one that goes back to their High School years, and one that is strongly rooted in God. This is a bond they share with not only one another, but with their families and friends as well. I think that everyone they have come to know as a couple over the years can agree that Maddie and Caleb are the perfect example of marrying your best friend. While working through all of their footage, I kept smiling. Seeing these two interact, it's easy to see that they are each other's biggest cheerleader. They constantly raise each other up though love, support, and faith in one another. The joy that shines through them when they look at their wife/husband was such a blessing to capture. I hope that watching their video brings you as much happiness as it brought me.

Thank you to all of the vendors that we got to work alongside. We are so thankful to have worked amongst such a talented team!

Caleb and Maddie, your wedding left our team feeling so joyful, and rejuvenated (which says a lot since usually by the end of weddings we are TOTALLY drained). Near the end of our busiest wedding season yet, we were feeling completely overwhelmed, and confused as to why we were doing all of these weddings... But after spending the day with you, your wedding party, and your families, our mindset shifted. It was a beautiful feeling to leave a wedding being reminded of why we love what we do. That is all thanks to you two, and every single person that took part in your wedding. Thank you for putting the joy back into weddings for us. We have so much love and appreciation for you all as one of our couples, but also as our dear friends (and PHamily).

Here is to many more years of love and happiness for you and your GROWING family! Congratulations to you and your families! You're going to be amazing parents! This baby is already SO loved!

LOVE!

Samantha
