Brandon + Jordan Wedding Reception | The Historic Barn at Cooke Tavern
Last year, we got to celebrate the wedding ceremony of Jordan and Brandon amongst a small group of their family members. A year later, we gathered at the same spot, and celebrated this union with the rest of their family and friends.
I want to start by saying that the people we serve is BY FAR the best part of shooting weddings. Generally, we only get to celebrate a couple on their wedding day once, but with the curveball that 2020 threw us, that hasn't been the case. I cannot even begin to tell you the joy I felt learning that I would get to celebrate with the Martin and Glover families again in 2021. We love you all, and hope you enjoy your video and photos from this two-part celebration!
Almost exactly a year after Jordan and Brandon's intimate wedding day celebration, these two finally got the reception celebration they deserved. Cooke Tavern was filled with Jordan and Brandon's loved ones dancing, enjoying pasta, playing yard games, making s'mores, grabbing drinks, and enjoying each other's company.
Welcome back to The Historic Barn at Cooke Tavern!
We loved their reception design and decorations! Gela and her team at Taylor'Design & Events designed and planned both the Wedding day and Reception.
September 4th turned out to be the prefect day for an outdoor celebration. The grounds outside of the barn were used for drinks, appetizers. corn hole, can jam, badminton, and hanging around the fire pit.
The inside of the barn featured round tables covered in while linens, with candle center-pieces, wrapped in greenery. While guests feasted on their customized pasta dishes, they enjoyed music, dancing, a donut wall, and homemade ice cream made by their Aunt Joyce and Uncle Kenny!
Around sunset, we pulled Jordan and Brandon away for a quick 15-minute session on the dock! This was the spot they got married the year before. This was definitely a highlight of our day. Spending even 15 minutes with Jordan and Brandon is always so refreshing! Seeing them together always makes me smile and truly gets me hyped!
I think what I love most about Jordan and Brandon is how genuine they are as a couple. I loved every dance move they messed up while we posed them, I loved Brandon keeping on his hat and sunglasses because of his hat hair, I loved their ability to laugh not only with but at each other. They are so comfortable with one another and they make it so fun and easy to photograph them. I FREAKING LOVE THEM!
I was obsessed with Brandon's ring tattoo!!
After their quick session, we headed back to their celebration for a fun time with the rest of their guests.
We were reunited with some wonderful high school and college pals at their reception too! We loved seeing so many familiar faces!!
This September night was perfect for a fire and a s'more bar!!
We headed out of this celebration with such full hearts. The people at Jordan and Brandon's reception were so much fun to be around. Everyone was so welcoming and filled with so much joy for these two. We are forever grateful for people like them and events like these!
Jordan and Brandon, we cannot tell you enough how much we love and respect you. You are two people that work so hard to love and celebrate others, and I cannot think of two more deserving people of a celebration. I will forever admire your love for others, but especially your love for one another. I hope you love these photos and videos as much as we do. Never stop making each other laugh and smile. You do it so well.
Thank you to all of the vendors that we got to work alongside. We are so thankful to have worked amongst such a talented team!
