Even before their wedding day, we knew Andrew and Jessie's wedding would be an exciting, amazing wedding! Like many in attendance, we knew this because
1. They grew up in the same hometown so their day would feel like a hometown reunion!
2. They have also been together for a long time, and many have gotten to know them well and see their relationship grow into what it is now. Who wouldn't want to celebrate this marriage?!
3. Their wedding was also a homecoming! Andrew and Jessie moved to Utah and their State College, Pennsylvania family was ready to take full advantage of their visit back east!
But in my opinion, the biggest reason that this wedding was especially joyful is because of the way Andrew and Jessie treat others. It is because of the type of people they are, that made everyone SO excited for them. After all they have done for others and all they have been through together, they finally got a day for them! THIS is what a couple like Andrew and Jessie deserves! A day for them to feel loved, to be celebrated, and to experience joy with people they love! I think that's what made this wedding an exciting one!
Andrew and Jessie are both the type of people that make others feel valued and important. People can get very stressed on wedding days, sticking to timelines, fixing small details, and dealing with last minute things. However, Andrew and Jessie didn't let anything get in the way of enjoying themselves and all of their guests. And although it was their day to be celebrated, they still were full of appreciation, and celebrated others. In their everyday ways of making everyone else feel good, they repeatedly complimented the designer behind the floral arrangements, the planner on her room design, etc. Even at the end of our sunset session, they asked for a photo with us! They definitely made our night! Even on their wedding day, Andrew and Jessie made sure everyone else there felt good and had a great time.
In making their videos, I wanted to emphasize two big things, them as a couple and their guests' excitement for them. I wanted to make sure that their fun-loving, playful, and adventurous spirits showed. This wedding, the toasts, the calmness, and again, the joy, made retelling this story, an easy one. One that Evan, Catherine and myself all agree, reflects these two well. Enjoy their feature film below!
To Andrew and Jessie, thank you for your selflessness and ability to make everyone feel so loved. We are truly humbled to have gotten the opportunity to celebrate with you on your amazing wedding day. We are so happy that you found each other and that you get to experience forever with one another.
