David + Kirsten Highlight | Succop Nature Park
Kirsten first reached out to me in September. She contacted me a bit after our move from State College to Bridgeville, and asked if we would be willing to travel to Butler, PA (an hour from Bridgeville)! It would be our first wedding in the new area!! As we emailed back and forth, I began REALLY hoping that they would book us, not because we were close to Butler, but because of how friendly Kirsten came across in her emails! She was always offering to answer any questions and enthusiastic to fill our our questionnaires. Luckily for us, they invited us to celebrate with them! We even got a save the date!! In each email, I could tell how joyful and excited these two were for this day. Before I share about their beautiful June wedding, I want you to get to know Kirsten and David before they became Mr. and Mrs.!
Kirsten met David at a dorm party while they were attending Penn State. They shared with me the first thing they thought when they first met each other.
"I’m going to be truthful. When I first saw Kirsten, I thought about how attractive she was. I remember nudging my buddy Brandon (my best man) and whispering, 'Do you see her?' From that point on, I did all I could to try and get her number."
"When I first saw David, I remember being very intrigued. In my eyes, he was a cute nerdy guy with an interesting pastime. As we began talking, I remember thinking that he was extremely intelligent and had a good head on his shoulders. I was extremely hesitant at first because he was completely different from any other guy that I had dated."
After the two talked for several hours about their majors and ambitions in life, Kirsten left the party thinking of how easy her time with David felt. Moments after she left, she received a text message from a new number. Turns out David also felt a connection! They continued to talk and months later went on their first date.
David proposed to Kirsten in January of 2018, in downtown State College, where they met for their first date.
June 7th was a perfect day. The sun was out and a steady breeze surrounded everyone. The ceremony was decorated with accents of blush and music from the violin warmly welcomed guests to David and Kirsten's ceremony.
Thank you to the amazing vendors that we got to work with that contributed to making this experience so wonderful! A special thank you to Rachel Beals for being an amazing photographer to work alongside!
