Congratulations to the Class of 2019!
This season, we took advantage of our work trips to State College and served 16 different Penn State seniors! Having the opportunity to take their photos and celebrate their final weeks of school brought us so much joy!
We kicked off our senior sessions at the end of March with a wonderful group of 12 girls. We met this amazing group of seniors through one of Catherine's good friends from Penn State, Jenny! Jenny's cousin, Emily reached out to Catherine, and asked for pictures of her and her Phi Sigma Rho (a sorority for women in engineering) friends! While I was in town for an event, these 12 ladies toughed out a chilly morning session with Catherine and me!
We love shooting groups of people! They brought each other so much joy during their session! Check out more from their session here!
The next time I would be in State College would be 3 days before Evan and I took off for Italy!
Early on a Thursday morning, I met Katie and Darius! These two started dating during their freshman year at Penn State, and YO, they were electric!! I was SO pleased that they did their session together. They move so well together, and were willing to try anything I came up with!
When at 8AM, the Lion Shrine had a line, these two didn't waste one second of their session! We headed across the street to Rec Hall while we waited for our turn at the shrine, and worked with the beautiful stone building (and this even better looking couple)!
Finally, it was our turn for the Lion Shrine!
For those of you who have not had the opportunity to sit on the lion, be aware it's a slick piece of Indiana Limestone! Darius was slowly sliding down the back during this picture!
Finally, we ended our session at Old Main!
Good luck in Washington, D.C. Katie and Darius!! I'm so excited to hear about the move and the new opportunities in store for you two!
That same day, I had the opportunity to hang out with Liz, an amazing senior majoring in Supply Chain Management! Right when I met Liz, I could tell that she had such a kind heart! Such a sweet human, with not only an amazing smile, but an amazing soft smile, gaze, laugh, everything! She nailed every look! Liz blew me away! Such. A. Stunner.
Liz lives with four underclassmen, and even though she is the only one graduating, I was SO happy that she decided to bring them along! They were the best hype crowd!
Totally unprompted! She just had all the looks! So amazingly photogenic! I was so happy that Liz had the idea of checking out the Hintz Family Alumni Center area!
Our final senior session this Spring was with Jordan! His mom reached out to me saying that he wanted to do his senior portraits before graduation. The day before we left for Italy, I got to meet Jordan and his parents! I LOVE when parents can come to senior sessions! Since my high school senior pictures, when the photographer took pictures of me and my mom, I have ALWAYS tried to get pictures of the graduate with their parents! Meet Jordan and his parents (BOTH of them coming was a bonus!!)
As I'm sure you can tell by the picture below, Jordan has the mot infectious and sincere laugh! I was cheesin' so big from the other side of the camera working with him!
Jordan's session was lead by his infectious joy. When he told me about his involvement with THON, I was not surprised at all! He must have had the most fun committee, and I bet all of the kids he interacted with during his time at Penn State absolutely loved him!
I cannot say enough how much I enjoyed these senior sessions. Each senior brought something different to the table, and got me even more excited for the busy season ahead of us. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for these grads!
To all of you graduates, your parents and parent figures did one hell of a job raising you. I can't imagine how proud of you they are, because I AM SO PROUD AND HAPPY FOR YOU!
So much love!!
Samantha, Catherine and Evan
